When using the virtual key board, you can simply tap and hold down the exclamation point key and the apostrophe key will be displayed above it. This is much simpler that going to the secondary keyboard to find the apostrophe. Many of the other keys on the main keyboard also have hidden keys associated with them. You may access them in the same way. Find the ones which you often use on the alternate keyboard and you will save lots of time while typing. Not every key on the main virtual keyboard will display a hidden key by using this method.

Maybe you have scrolled way down on a web page and you want to get back to the top of the page. If you look to the top of the title window, you can tap twice there and you will go back to the top of the page instantly. This is much quicker than repeated finger swipes to scroll up to the top of the page.
Is the email received sound annoying you?
If you receive lots of emails, perhaps the sound associated with the notification sound can be bothersome while you are using the iPad for other purposes. You may turn the email alert sounds off by going to settings/general/sounds to turn off the sound or to increase or decrease the volume of the alert sound.
